BURLINGTON, N.C. - Carol Jean Price, 59, died Nov. 12, 2013, at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family.Carol was a native of Alamance County and had lived at The Ralph Scott Life Center for 38 years. For 30 years she sang with the Celebration Singers Chorus. She enjoyed the fellowship of all the churches where the singers performed. She was a member of the Special Olympics, winning medals every year. Carol worked at the Good Shepherd's Kitchen for 11 years. She became friends with all the people who worked at the kitchen and she never met a stranger. She would gather people's birthdates and send them a birthday card on their birthday.She was the daughter of Nathan L. Price and Euphrozine Price of Graham, N.C. She was also survived by a brother, Dale Price, of the home; niece, Miranda Price, of Burlington; nephews, Timothy Price and Samuel Price of Burlington; and many great-nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be conducted Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be the Rev. John Johnson, the Rev. Norman Whitney and the Rev. Darryl Peebles. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 until 8 Thursday evening. At other times they will at her parents' home, Nathan and Euphrozine Price, 720 Cheek Lane, Graham, N.C.
