Carole Krain Wicker

Mrs. Carole Krain Wicker 83, of Burlington, passed away on February 3, 2022 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. A native of the Bronx, New York City, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Dora Krain. Carole studied piano and violin at the Julliard Preparatory Division High School of The Performing Arts in Music. She then graduated from Ithaca College, receiving her BS in Music Education. She then received her master’s degree from Elon University in Elementary School Education. Carole was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota and the Oracle Society. Carole retired from River Mill School as the School’s Music Teacher. Survivors include her children, Roberta Wall (Bob), Jeffrey Cook, David Cook, James Wicker (Sam Mulyono) and Jennifer Ebert (Al) and her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren and her loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wade Wicker, and her sister, Shirley Most and a brother, Milton Krain. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday February 6, 2022 at the Historic Providence Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Darryl Peebles officiating. There will be no public visitation. McClure Funeral Service in Graham is assisting the family.
