Carolyn "Joanne" Cook

BURLINGTON - Carolyn "Joanne" Cook, 72, passed away Jan. 12, 2016 at her residence.She was a member of People's Memorial Christian Church and a probation officer with Alamance County Dept. of Corrections.Survivors include her sisters, Marlene Wood (Jack) of Efland, Sherrie Wheeler (Earl) of Haw River and Mary Parker (Kenny) of Albemarle; brother, Jacob Craven (Karen) of Anderson, SC; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and LaRue Craven.A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15 2016, at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Mebane. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10 to 11a.m. Memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
