Carolyn Faye (Hall) Smith

Mrs. Carolyn Hall Smith 79, of Burlington, NC passed away on January 1, 2025, at her residence. A native of Alamance Co. NC, she was the daughter of the late Dennis H. Hall and Effie Turner Hall. Carolyn worked for 30 plus years at Brown-Wooten Mills and following retirement she worked with White Oak Mannor and Pace Care, looking after those who needed help. She enjoyed nothing more than watching her stories and detective shows but nothing put a smile on her face like her great grandchildren. Carolyn was a proud member of Carolina Christian Church where she loved the Lord and her Church family. She will forever be remembered for being a nurturer, always putting the needs of others above her own. Surviving are her loving daughters, Donna Kernodle, and Deborah S. Hall (Steve Trotter); her grandchildren, Kyle DeBruler (Danielle), Kendall DeBruler (Brooke Hester) and Cody Hall; her loving great grandchildren, Noah, Ellie, Andy, Hailey, Jordan, and Mason; her sister, Becky Agner (Jackie); her brother, Arthur Hall (Edna) and her loving nieces. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at Carolina Christian Church on Saturday January 11, 2025, with the Pastor Mark Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
