Carolyn (Biggs) Westbrook

Mrs. Carolyn Biggs Westbrook, 87 of Mebane, NC passed away on November 23, 2021 at Peak Resources in Graham. Carolyn was born on September 15, 1934 in Washington DC to the late Perry and Edith York Biggs and was the wife of the late Archie Raymond Westbrook. After being born in DC, she grew up in Mebane with her family and attended Lebanon UMC in her younger years. She enjoyed watching Dr. Charles Stanley on TV and she also loved to cook for her family and friends as everyone always loved her chocolate chess pies. Carolyn retired from General Electric with 25 years of service. Carolyn always enjoyed spending time with her family especially all the weekends spent at Jackie’s and Theresa’s place at Hyco Lake. Survivors include her loving sons, Eric Westbrook and John Westbrook and wife Pamela; her grandchildren, Melvin “Chief” Wiley, Jayden Westbrook and Janiya Westbrook; her sister, Julie Nelson; her nieces, Leslie Williamson and husband Brandon and Donna Brown; nephews, Craig Nelson, Tim Hill, Mike and Darrell Howard, and Jenny and Janie; great nephews, Alex and Luke Williamson; and her cousin, Dale Howard and wife MaryAnn. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Georgia Howard and Beverly Hill; brothers, Tommy and Jerry Biggs and her Aunt, Ruth Howard. A Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday November 30, 2021 at the Lebanon UMC Cemetery with the Pastor Darrell Moser officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM prior to the graveside on Tuesday at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane.
