Carrie Ann Gooch Sykes

Carrie Ann Gooch Sykes, 75, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Compass Health Care in Mebane.  She was the daughter of the Willie and Mary Lynn Gooch. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and loving friend to many!! She was kind, selfless, always giving, and being of service to others. Her passion was singing at church with her Husband and she carried on after his passing. She loved her family, adored her children and grandchildren. She was the best cook around, loved planting flowers, shopping and spending time with her friends. She is survived by her son, Mark Sykes; daughters, Teresa Gilley (Calvin), Tammy Stutts; brothers, Robert Gooch, Donnie Gooch; grandchildren, Kevin Gilley, Amanda Young (Adam), Tanner Stutts (Makayla) and Jordan Stutts.  Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Sykes and brothers, Paul Gooch and Buddy Gooch.  The family will receive friends on Thursday December 28, 2023 from 5pm-7pm at McClure Funeral Service in Graham.  A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday December 29, 2023 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham.  Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at her daughters house at 3810 Michael Dr., Haw River, following the graveside service .
