Catharine Louise (Lowery) Bowler

Catharine Louise Lowery Bowler, age 76, of 118 N Ninth St. Mebane, NC died on September 23, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Bowler was born May 31, 1948 in Person County, NC., daughter of the late Rull Lee & Elma Sue Long Lowery. Mrs. Bowler was also preceded in death by three brothers: Gene Lowery, Richard Lowery, infant brother; one sister: Lila Mae Lowery; brother-n-law: Riley Bowes; and father-n-law and mother-n-law: Ollie and Jean Bowler Sr.

Mrs. Bowler was a graduate of Bethel Hill High School. She retired from UNC after 30 years of service and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of nearly 45 years, Ollie Coleman Bowler Jr. of the home; two sisters: Maggie Lowery Bowes of Hurdle Mills, Carolyn Lowery of Roxboro; two brothers: Fred Lowery (Joyce) of Roxboro and Dale Lowery (Tasha) of Chatham, VA; two brother-n-laws: Ellis (Teresa) of Orange Park, FL., Collin (Lisa) of Alexandria, AL.; one sister-n-law: Ann Lowery of Henderson. Also left to cherish her memory are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Eastside Baptist Church by the Rev. Chuck Perkins. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Bowler, Ken Vaughn, Kendall Vaughn, Rodney Bowes, Kent Hawkins and Stephen Gregory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church at 333 Supper Club Rd. Mebane, NC 27302.
