Mrs. Catherine Martin Bare, 88, of Graham, NC passed away peacefully at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Friday, May 12, 2023, and went home to be with Jesus and rejoin her husband whom she missed dearly. She was the daughter of W.E. “Buddy” Martin and Lillian Amine Martin, both deceased. Mrs. Bare graduated from Nancy Reynolds High School. She then went on to hold numerous jobs in the secretarial field, finally retiring from the NCDOT bridge maintenance department after 20 years of service. Catherine will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Bare enjoyed many things in life such as cooking, and family get-togethers where everyone would play horseshoes, croquet, rook and play music and sing together. She also had a special love for the Lord, going to church, and singing gospel songs with her husband.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years and 10 months, Marion Elmo Bare, her brother, Roy Martin, and her sisters, Marie Manning (Odell), and Flossie Martin.

Survivors include her son, Mark Bare, her daughter, Pam Robertson (Jay), her grandchildren, Daniel Paul and Mary Grace.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham. A service will be held for Mrs. Bare at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 22, 2023, beginning at 11:00 AM. A burial will follow the service at Graham Memorial Park.
