Catherine "Cathy" Louise Ferrell

Miss. Catherine “Cathy” Ferrell, 65, of Mebane, NC, passed away on Thursday June 1, 2017 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill. A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Orville “Gene” and Catherine Haley Ferrell. Cathy loved to sing with her friends and she especially loved when she and her sister Mary Jane would play “Choo-Choo”. She enjoyed when Jamie would come by and visit to play music for her and she always had a smile on her face when she ate supper with her friends and family. Survivors include her sister and guardian, Mary Jane Ferrell, of the home; sisters, Donna Faucette and Tammy Faulkner; special family members and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Ferrell. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday June 11, 2017 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the Funeral Home and other times at the residence of the family.
