Catherine Dodson Moore

Mrs. Grace Catherine Dodson Moore, 79, of Long Meadow Drive, Mebane, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 15, 2014 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. She was a native of Mebane and retired after 36 years of service at Western Electric (AT&T). She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Ralph F. Moore, her father, Collie M. Dodson, her mother, Agnes M. Dodson, and her brother, G. Donald Dodson. She is survived by her son Ricky D. Moore, of Mebane; grandson, Tyler H. Moore (Mallory W. Byrum), of Greenville; her loving caregiver, Cheryl J. Moore (former daughter-in-law), of Mebane; her step-grandson, Nathan Terrell (Melody Terrell), of Newport; and sister-in-law, Virginia Dodson, of Wilmington. She is also survived by two step-great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew. She was an active member of Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church and a former member of Mebane United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday November 17, 2014 from 6 until 8 PM at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane and at other times at the residence of the family at 3910 Long Meadow Drive, Mebane, NC. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pam Gilliam Officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice Home of Burlington and the staff of Alamance Regional Medical Center for their care.
