Cecilia Morris Parker, affectionately known as Saucy, was born in Jamaica, Queens NY on November 4th 1946 to Francis Sr. and Alice L. Morris. She departed this life on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Mebane, NC. Saucy attended and graduated from Saint Monica School and Jamaica High School. She also attended Queens College and Marymount College both in New York. After completing high school Saucy was employed by Equitable Life Assurance Company for 34+ years with her retirement in 2001. Later she embarked on a totally different career as a home health care provider for approximately 11 years. Saucy met and married Jehri Parker and was blessed with a son, Jason. Saucy was gifted in many areas, but what stands out most was her ability to speak and especially to publicly communicate at fashion shows and weddings. Her talent showed through in many affairs. During a service at Bethel Gospel Tabernacle, in about 1985, Saucy gave her heart to Jesus. She greatly appreciated the ministry of Dr. Charles Stanley. Saucy died at home after a brief cancer diagnosis and treatment combined with a pre-existing heart condition. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Francis Jr., brother in law Frederick, and best friend Rose Ann. She leaves to mourn her passing, her son Jason, sisters Patricia and Diana, nieces and nephews Teresha (Timothy Sr.), Sean, Rochelle, Khalilah (Robert), and Jean-Pierre and a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors Henry and Ydalis. We celebrate Saucy’s life and will forever cherish the beautiful memories we have of her.
