Charles "Charlie" B. Bateman

Charles "Charlie" B Bateman passed away at his home Friday evening, November 14, 2014. He was born July 6th, 1944. God called him home suddenly and unexpectedly after he had just enjoyed a day of doing some of the things he loved to do; playing golf, having dinner with friends and playing games. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Judy B. Bateman, who survives and the son of Woodrow and Pauline Bateman, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and retired from East Coast Metal Distributors. He attended Staley Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to his wife of the home, he leaves behind daughter, Barbara and husband, Paul Noblin, of Raleigh, daughter Karen and husband, Nicholas Anders ,of Burlington, daughter Karla and husband Bob Mullen of Hilton Head; grandchildren Jacob and Madison Noblin, Bryan, Derek and Kevin Mullen. Sisters, JoAnn Cobb, Judy Satterfield; brothers, Woodrow Bateman, Danny Bateman. He was preceded in death by sisters, Dot Kaiser and Betty Greeson and brother, Jim Bateman. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at McClure Funeral Home in Graham on Tuesday, November 18th, at 7:00 p.m. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service.
