Charles Emerson Borror, 87, of Mebane passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Duke University Medical Center. Charlie was born in Columbus, Ohio to Pearl Emerson and Gertrude Agin Borror, both deceased. Charlie is survived by his wife Betty Borror. Charlie and Betty shared a loving marriage for over 68 years. Charlie and Betty have lived in Mebane for the past ten years. Before moving to this area is in 2006, post Hurricane Katrina, they were residents of New Orleans, La. for over 35 years. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman and loved all animals great and small. He was a very skillful nature photographer, capturing beautiful scenery and wild animals and birds in their natural habitats. Charlie especially loved and supported our American National and State parks. He always had great stories about his many adventures. Charlie graduated from The Ohio State University in 1956, a loyal Buckeye forever. He made many friends as he travelled the world in his jobs at Cherry-Burrell and International Paper. Charlie was our family historian, collecting family stories and diaries from the branches of our family tree. Charlie will be greatly missed by his family and numerous friends. Daughters: Georgia Manuel and Ginger Stallings. A son: Jerry Borror. Grandchildren: Delanie Manuel, Carrie Becker, David Stallings. Three Great Grandchildren, Phoebe Becker, Wyatt Stallings, Anthony Venturella. He was preceded in death by a sister: Margaret Ann Rockhold. A private service for family will be held at a later date.
