Charles Robert "Charlie" Henkel

Mr. Charles Robert “Charlie” Henkel, 76 of 111 Peppertree Drive Mebane, NC died Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Burlington after a brief illness. Charlie was born in Augusta County, Virginia to the late Charles Howard Henkel and Mildred Lewis Henkel. He was a member of the Grace Reformed Baptist Church of Mebane, retired from E.I. DuPont and served honorably in the US Navy. Surviving family members are his wife Emogene Redifer Henkel of the home, daughter and son in law Christy Henkel Bailey and Jason Bailey of Mebane, granddaughters Rachael Lindsey Bailey and Emma Kate Bailey. Graveside Services will be held 10:00am Friday, July 24, 2015 in the Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 2115 South NC-119 Mebane, NC 27302 with military honors, officiating will be Pastor Gary Hendrix, Pastor Stu Johnston and Pastor Randy Pizzino. Mr. Henkel’s body will remain at the McClure Funeral and Cremation Service 1308 S. Third Street, Mebane, NC until taken to the cemetery for the service.
