Charles Randolph "Randy" Jackson

Charles Randolph (Randy) Jackson, born April 26, 1948, passed away Monday July 24, 2023, at his home in Cedar Grove, NC.  Randy was born in Atlanta, GA to the late William Curtis Jackson, Jr. and Mary Ruth Lanning Jackson.  Randy had a rewarding 30-year career at Burroughs Welcome before retiring in 1999.  Randy was an avid motorcycle rider and served for years in the GWRRA organization.  He also loved boating and scuba diving in his younger days, serving for years on the rescue squad in Apex, NC.  His greatest joy and passion, however, was being a husband to his wife and best friend, Linda, with whom he spent 30 wonderful years together.

Randy is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Dukes Jackson; stepsons, Brian Tyler Edwards and Michael Ross Edwards; siblings, Dr. William (Butch) Jackson, and Richard (Ricky) Jackson of Georgia, and Sharon Jackson of Tennessee; along with many nieces and nephews.  Randy was preceded in death by his mother and father along with his brother, Tommy Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday July 29, 2023, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane, NC.  The family will receive visitors after the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to Randy’s favorite charity, Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
