Charlie Bruce Poole

Charlie Bruce Poole, 60, died November 14, 2016 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Bruce, as he was known to family and friends, was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, gardening and riding his old tractor around his home. He was born July 18, 1956. Bruce was a 1974 graduate of Orange High School, a 1978 graduate of NC State University, and a life long Wolfpack fan. He was employed by Watson Electric Company for many years. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Boyce Poole. He is survived by his mother, Edna Burke Nichols Poole, of the home; his brother, Richard Poole of Efland; his sister, Pamela Walden of Statesville; his niece Stephanie Poole Nieman (Jeffrey); great-nephew Burke Nieman; great-niece Larkin Lee Nieman; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday at Efland United Methodist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 – 2:45 pm Thursday in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell.
