Mrs. Cheryl Jolly Moore, 64, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at The Hospice Home in Burlington after a brief but brave battle with cancer.
Cheryl was born on June 20, 1961, to the late Betty and Wilson Jolly, and was raised in Mebane, North Carolina. Throughout her life – which had its share of ups and downs – she was always a caring person with a big heart. She was a caring daughter who attentively helped care for her parents in their final years, a devoted sister to her siblings, a strong and supportive wife to her husband, a loving mother to her sons, a doting grandma and nana to her grandchildren, and a dedicated friend to many.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Ricky D. Moore, of the home; her son, Nathan Terrell, and his wife, Melody, of Newport, NC, and their children, Nathaniel, Dysen, and Makenzie; her son, Tyler Moore, and his wife, Mallory, of New Bern, NC, and their daughter, Cate. Cheryl is also survived by her siblings: Randy Jolly and his partner, Vickie; Larry Jolly and his wife, Paulette; Cathy Martin; Jeff Jolly and his wife, Debbie; and many nieces and nephews.
A service of death and resurrection will be held at Mebane United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 with the Rev. Aaron Hayworth and the Rev. Tyler Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Mebane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends immediately prior to the service at 10:00 AM at Mebane United Methodist Church.
