Cheryl Durham Pulliam

Mrs. Cheryl Durham Pulliam, 67 of Graham passed away on Monday October 26, 2020 after she battled a tough fight against cancer over the last year and is now healthy in the arms of the Lord. A native of Edgecombe Co. NC and was the daughter of the late Rev. Robert and Gladys Durham. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church since 1994 and a staff member at the church since 2001 where she was a devout Christian and loved her Church family. Cheryl left a handprint on the hearts and lives of the countless number of children that came through her daycare over the last 38 years. Many of the children called her “MeeMaw” just like her own grandchildren did. Some of her favorite things to do was that she loved to shop at Belk’s, she enjoyed working in the yard, her favorite food was hot wings, she loved watching movies on lifetime. Cheryl was known being selfless, kind, strong-willed, hardworking, loving, always putting others needs above her own and her unforgettable laugh that was contagious. Her family will forever remember her as their loving wife, mother, MeeMaw, sister and friend. Surviving is her loving husband of 49 years, Johnny Ray Pulliam, of the home; her loving daughters, Erica Pulliam Durham and husband Josh, of Burlington and Jamie Pulliam Williams and husband Derek, of Graham; her cherished grandchildren, Emma Rae Williams, Sydney Ann Williams, John Logan Williams, Rylee Lynn Williams, Brynlee Grace Durham, Brycen Carter Durham; her sisters, Sandra Sorie and husband Ricky, of Nashville, NC and Linda Pulliam and husband Charles, of Cary, NC and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Ayden Pryce Williams. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday November 1, 2020 at Harvest Baptist Church in Burlington with the Pastors Larry Lamberth, Jerry Harding, and Ricky Sorie officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery in Graham. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Friday October 30, 2020 at Harvest Baptist Church in Burlington and other times at the residence of the family.
