Christopher Cook

Christopher Elgin Cook of Durham, passed away Monday, July 24,2017 at his residence. He was a born in Blue Ridge, Ga. To James Avery and Margaret Chambers Cook both deceased. Mr. Cook was a retired restaurant manager and he was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife: Cornell “Lil Bit” Cook. Sons: Paul L. Cook (Melodie Pugh) and Christopher D. Cook (Melissa). Daughters: Mary Ellen Thompson (Mark Cagle) and Elizabeth Ann Wells (Jimmy). Ten grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Brother: William Ellard. Sisters: Maxine Cole, Austine Jones, and Alma Lee Parrish. He was preceded in death by a brother: James Dale Cook and sisters: Sue Cook Cates and Jewel Cook Foust. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 at eleven o’clock in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Folks. Burial will follow in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 until 8 Wednesday evening.
