Mrs. Cynthia Renae “Cindy” Aldridge, 51, of 3212 Mebane Rogers Rd., Burlington, NC, passed away on Thursday March 19, 2015 at her residence. Born in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of Jean Spivey and Jimmy Walston who survive. She was a resident of Danville, VA for many years. She was employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and worked with CM Offray for numerous years prior to Goodyear. She attended the Lamb’s Chapel in Haw River and was a veteran of the US Army. She was passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren, and was known for always putting others before herself. She loved her dogs, cows and all animals. Survivors include her husband, Mel Aldridge, of the home; daughters, Stevie Nicole Walker of VA Beach, and Taylor Renae Rutledge of Greensboro; stepdaughters, Lindsey Chinni and husband Scott of Wilmington, NC and Kristin Melendez and husband Josué of Boiling Springs, NC; grandchildren, Koryn Walker, Layla Walker, Nox Walker, Malcolm Chinni, Orlando Chinni, Gabriel Melendez, and Hudson Melendez; Stepfather, David Ray Rice of Danville, VA; sister, Susie Manning of FL; brothers, Ronnie Walston, of Sanford, NC and Curtis Walston of FL. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday March 23, 2015 in the Chapel of The Lamb’s Chapel in Haw River with the Rev. Gary Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect UMC Cemetery in Prospect Hill. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 PM on Sunday March 22, 2015 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, and other times at the residence of the family.
