Clarkie Brown Henderson

Mrs. Clarkie Brown Henderson, of Burlington, NC, passed away on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at her residence. A native of Stafford County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Brown and Carrie Peade Brown. She loved her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid country music lover and she enjoyed taking bus tours to Nashville, TN or anywhere there was country music and country music stars. She always enjoyed her trips to Virginia to visit and remanence with relatives and friends. She was retired from Carolina Paper Box with numerous years of service. Survivors include her son and family, Henry Ray Robertson and wife Margaret; grandson, Richard Ray Robertson and wife Jennifer; great grandsons, Colten and Caleb; granddaughter, Tracy Robertson James and husband Ritchie; great grandson, Bryce and great granddaughter, Macy, of Mebane. Also her son and family, James Franklin Robertson and wife Carol; grandson, Blair Franklin Robertson and wife Stephanie and granddaughter, Brooke Carol Robertson, of Graham. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Irene B. Clay, Virgie May Banks, John C. Brown, OT Brown, Lorena B. Setzer, Sherman Brown, JR Brown, Adell B. Gainey, and Beth B. King and many special loving nieces and nephews. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday April 23, 2016 at Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane with Dr. Bland Campbell and Dr. Judy Butler officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Friday April 22, 2016 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, and other times at the residence of the son Ray.
