Claude York, 81, passed away on July 29, 2019 at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell. He was a lifelong Carolina Tarheel fan, coached modified pitch softball for over 25 years and was a member of the NC Horseshoe Pitching Association.

Survivors include his wife; Donna Keyser York, sons; Shawn York (Jennifer) and Junior York (Ashley), brother; Thomas York; grandchildren; Shari, Matheson, Anna, Jaedyn, Jamison and a great grandchild, Piper Puckett.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Claude Matheson York and Allie Mae Hunter York and a brother Smith York.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 31, 2019 from 5-7 at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane. A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 1, 2019 at 11am in The McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane. Burial will follow in Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell 914 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
