Clyde "Edward" Allen

Mr. Clyde Edward Allen, 58, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025. He resided at Asheboro Rehab & Health Care Center in Asheboro. He is the son of Clyde Donald Allen and Margaret Chappell Allen. He is survived by a daughter, Ashley Logan Parsley (Jesse) and his son, Jonathan “Jon” Allen (Adriana). He has four grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Donna Allen Sykes and Virginia “Ginny” Allen Mays (Noah); his niece, Samantha Mays; his uncles, Robert Chappell, James W. “J.W.” Allen, Lonnie “Willie” Ray Allen; his aunts, Marie Allen Fholer and Doris Sheaer.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde Clarence Allen, Hazel Crabtree Allen, Myrtle Eastwood Chappell, and Lonnie P. Chappell; his uncles, Larry, Brodie, Stanley, Lawyer “Ronald”; and his aunt, Sheryl Wilson.  He was an avid UNC Tar Heel and New York Mets fan. He attended Alamance Christian School, Woodlawn Middle School, and Eastern Alamance High school. He was a perfect attendance student all twelve years and was a national honors society student.

A funeral service will be held to honor his life on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, beginning at 2:00pm at Deep Creek Baptist Church in Burlington with Pastor Tommy Fargis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
