Colleen Waltham, a beacon of warmth and joy, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on December 21, 1936, Colleen's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and her capacity to touch the lives of those around her with her kindness and exuberance.
Colleen's journey began as the precious daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Hall, who, along with her beloved husband, Barry Waltham, and seven siblings, greeted her with open arms in the life beyond. She leaves behind a legacy of love and treasured memories with her devoted daughter, Susan Hall and partner, Frankie Durham, together with his family; her loving sister, Rita; and her adored nieces, Maria, Pam, Iona, Irene; nephews, Rob and Robert, along with their respective families, plus a host of additional loving family members, including the cherished Foster family.
Throughout her life, Colleen’s faith, infectious enthusiasm, and love for adventure shone brightly. She had an insatiable zest for life, embracing each day with a smile that could light up a room. Her passion for helping others was evident to all who knew her, and she had the remarkable gift of making every person she met feel like a lifelong friend.
Colleen's joy was found in the simple pleasures of life. She relished the time spent with her daughter, Susan, or Susie as mum always called her, whether they were sharing a quiet moment at home or exploring new destinations together. Traveling was one of her greatest pleasures, and she seized every opportunity to experience the wonders of the world, especially in her later years while living with her daughter in the U.S.
As we bid farewell to Colleen Waltham, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, a heart that loved without limits, and a spirit that will continue to inspire us all. Her memory will be treasured forever by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her on this beautiful journey of life. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11am in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham. The family will receive friends following the service.
