(Colonel Us Army, Ret.) James Lee Anson

(Colonel US Army Ret.) James Lee Anson, 73, of Mebane died Friday, May 1, 2020.  A native of Warren, Ohio, Jim volunteered for military service in 1970.  He served in various capacities, including Army Special Forces and jumpmaster of his airborne unit, until his retirement in 2000.  Jim was a car enthusiast, who could often be found racing, showing or working on his Buick Grand National. He was the son of the late Howard and Audrey Horton Anson Boyer and brother of the late Robert Neal Anson.

A loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Roberta Anson and son, Steven Anson and wife Nicole.
