Constance Alice Taub

GRAHAM, NC - Constance Taub, 68, passed away on November 6, 2016 after an 8 month courageous battle with heart disease.She was born on March 20, 1948 at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City to Howard and Alice Taub both deceased. She spent her childhood in Hollywood Fl., and after graduating high school in 1966 she went to work in security. After moving to Greensboro, NC in 1978 she went to work for Wachenhut Security as a security officer. In 1988 she went to work for the Central Prison for Women in Raleigh, NC and a few years later she transferred to the Men's Central Prison. She finished her career with the Orange County Correctional Institute for Men and retired from the State after 20 years of service. Although she wasn't a member of a church, she believed in Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. She was very fond of animals, particularly dogs and leaves behind her beloved Chihuahua Poncho. Even though she wasn't married and didn't have children of her own she was close to the Tucker family after living with them for over 25 years. Included would be Luther and Shirley Tucker of Graham, Joey Gregory of Graham, Jimmy Gregory of Burlington and Jennifer and Chuck Talley of Graham.A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday November 28, 2016 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham.In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Alamance County Animal Shelter, 2444 Tribek Ct, Burlington, NC 27215 .
