Craig "Squirl" Allen Bryant

Craig Allen Bryant, known affectionately as Squirl, passed away on May 5, 2026, in Alamance County, North Carolina, at the age of 65. He was born on April 9, 1961, in Scotland County, North Carolina, and lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, and devotion to the people and things he loved. Craig was a Christian and a faithful member of Graham Church of God, where his presence and spirit were appreciated by those who knew him. Craig spent numerous years working in the tree service industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature. He also worked with Duragloss during his career. No matter where he worked, he carried himself with humility and a willingness to help others. He was the kind of man who would never tell someone no when they were in need, and he was remembered by many for having a heart of gold. Family meant everything to Craig, and he loved his family with all his heart. He is survived by his mother, Sarah Brayboy Perkins; his sister, Lenora Taylor (Mike Warren); his brother, Nelson Perkins (Lisa); and his nieces and nephews, Tonya Taylor (Angela), Terri T. Dunn (Brandon), Colby “Nate” Perkins, and Angel Carter (Johnathan). He was preceded in death by his father, Bradford Bryant, and his stepfather, Nathan Perkins. Craig had many interests that brought him joy throughout his life. He loved his dog, Gunner, and was a devoted fan of racing, especially when it came to the Earnhardt’s. These passions reflected the loyal and spirited nature that those close to him will always remember. He found happiness in simple things and in the company of those he cared about most. Those who knew Craig will remember a man who put the needs of others above his own and who lived with generosity, compassion, and sincerity. His life was a testament to quiet strength and selfless love. He leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to comfort his family and friends in the days ahead. Craig Allen Bryant will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, devotion, and love will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and community forever.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday May 8, 2026 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor James Garner officiating. Interment will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 Prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
