Curley Ray Weaver

Curley Ray Weaver died peacefully in Greensboro on February 18, 2017 at the age of 79. He was born on January 18, 1938 in Hurdle Mills, NC to the late Fred and Ella Weaver. He was a master diesel mechanic capable of fixing anything that needed fixing. Curley worked at Cooper Kenworth, Carolina Kenworth and was the owner of Unique Services Inc. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Serena Weaver of Haw River, daughter; Carolyn Dyer (Bill) of Burlington, son; Randy Weaver (Katie) of Wilmington, sister; Lottie Pascal of Durham, four grandchildren; Jonathan Massey (Melissa) of Burlington, Preston Massey of McLeansville, Nicholas Weaver, Callie Beth Weaver both of Wilmington and four great grandchildren. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Verna Phillips of Oxford. The family will receive friends on Tuesday February 21, 2017 from 5-7 and at other times they will be at the home of his daughter Carolyn. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at 11am in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham with Dr. Tommy Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Haw River Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
