Curt Kenneth Lassiter Sr.

MEBANE - Mr. Curt Kenneth Lassiter Sr., 76, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields after several years of failing health. Born in Alamance County, he was the son of the late Annie Lassiter Isley. He was retired from Walter Kidde of Mebane and was of the Episcopal faith. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Hawkins Lassiter, of the home; daughter, Judith Lassiter Schledorn and husband Peter of Swepsonville; son, Curt Kenneth Lassiter Jr. and wife Allison of Mebane; grandchildren, Zachary Lassiter and Casandra Norris; stepgrandchildren, Neil Schledorn and wife Tracy and Monica Schledorn; great-stepgrandchild, Carlin Schledorn; brother, Don Lassiter of California; sister, Geraldine Brande of Pineville, N.C. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Basil Lassiter and Bill Cole. The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane on Friday, May 23, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Courtney Davis-Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Hawfields Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff and personnel at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields for all their love and care of Mr. Lassiter. Memorials may be made to The Michael J.
