Cynthia Moore Shelton

Cynthia Moore Shelton, 66, of Graham, North Carolina, passed peacefully in their arms of her daughter and sister in law on November 8, 2023. Born on March 14, 1957, in Alamance County, Cynthia was a hard worker, and good friend to many who paths she crossed. She had a love for the beach, music, had a great smile, a special fondness for her flowers, and Christmas was her favorite holiday to spend with family. Cynthia never forgot a birthday of her daughter, or siblings which showcased her loving and thoughtful nature.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Melanie Allison, grandchildren, Jordan White (Caylee) and Taylor White, great grandchildren, Easton and Rylah White, as well as her brother Johnny (Deanne), brother Timothy Brooks, sister Nicole Greeson, brother John Moore, step-father Don Greeson, brother in law Tim “TC” Carroll, nephews Travis Carroll and Timothy Brooks Jr., step children, Nicole Shelton, Stephanie Shelton, and Bryan Lassiter, and long-time partner Dewey Carter. She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Greeson, father Larry Moore, step-mother Audrey Moore, and sister Melissa Carroll.

Cynthia attended Eastern Alamance High School. She spent many years working at Burlington Coat Factory and eventually retired from Alexander Fabrics in Burlington.

A memorial service to honor Cynthia’s life  will be held on November 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM at McClure Funeral Home, located at 1030 South Main Street in Graham, North Carolina. The compassionate team at McClure Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time.

Cynthia Moore Shelton will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will be cherished forever.
