Daniel Anderson

Daniel John Anderson (Dan) passed away unexpectedly in his home on December 9, 2021. At the time of his death, Dan was residing part time in the home he designed and built in Kane, Pennsylvania and part time in Mebane, North Carolina.

Dan was the loving husband of Maryann Evanik Anderson for 39 years and father of daughter Juliet and fiance Joey, son Richard and wife Jana, son Daniel and wife Gretchen, and daughter Marybeth and husband Steven. He was so proud of all his children and their accomplishments: Juliet is a psychologist in Florida, Richard a venture capitalist in Texas, Daniel an intensive care physician in Georgia, and Marybeth a radiologist in North Carolina. Dan is survived by his 7 grandchildren: Anderson (3 wks), Jameson (3 mos), Madeleine (4 yrs), Austin (5 yrs), Ava (16 yrs), Lily (16 yrs), Justin (20 yrs), and Richie (22 yrs).

Dan had a fulfilling career at General Electric as an engineer in locomotives and aerospace in Erie, PA for 40 years. He loved cooking, woodworking, and spending time with family and close friends. In retirement, Dan found a love of cruising to different areas of the world and had always enjoyed trips to Disney World with children and grandchildren.

Dan was the glue that held this family together in good times and during rough patches. He was the solid rock of the family; one to turn to and solve many problems.  He was always willing to help and provide. We will all miss him terribly.
