Daniel Merriman Gauldin

Daniel Merriman Gauldin, 74 of Mebane,NC died June 15, 2021 at the hospice home of Burlington. Dan was born March 31, 1947 in Martinsville Virginia. A graduate of Eastern Alamance High School,  he then joined the Navy and served 4 years on the USS Stribling. He continued his education and received his bachelors in business administration from ECU in May, 1974.

On October 16, 1971 he married the love of his life, Judy Devers Gauldin for 49 years.

Working for Maus Piano for almost 40 years gave him time to enhance his talent in the music industry. His music ability was much admired in life. Most people would say that they would love to play piano like he did by ear. He showed his love of music to others by teaching classes at his piano store in Raleigh.

He had a passion for music and golf. He combined his two favorite hobbies with his close friends and family.

Dan’s friends and family really enjoyed His quick wit, infectious smile, and kind spirit.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents Ned and Mabel Gauldin.

Mr. Gauldin is survived by his wife of the home Judy; daughter, Cayce Lineberry and son Clay Gauldin (Madison); granddaughter, Elliott Mae Gauldin and a sister, Beth Katosic.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Wednesday June 16, 2021 at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane 1308 South Third Street Mebane, NC 27302.
