Daphne (Culbreth) Johnson

Daphne Culbreth Johnson, 85, of Burlington passed away at her home on Thursday, October 06, 2022. She was a native of Cumberland County and the daughter of the late Bundy and Bliss Culbreth. Daphne retired from Glen Raven Mills. She was a longtime member of Staley Memorial Baptist Church. Daphne was also a member of The Battle of Alamance Chapter 256 Order of the Eastern Star

In addition to her parents, Daphne was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James Richard Johnson Sr.

Daphne is survived by her daughters, Deborah Johnson and husband Rex of Hope Mills, Cynthia Johnson and partner Raymond Manley of Gastonia and son, Richard Johnson and wife Vickie of the home; sister, Bobby Jean Tyner of Fayetteville, grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Samantha Stevens, Ashley Webster, Andrew Johnson; great grandchildren, Ava & Reid Webster, Kella Johnson, Jason Allred and Naomi Johnson

A service to celebrate Daphne’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 10, 2022, at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham. The family will begin receiving friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00. A graveside committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Culbreth Cemetery, located at 3930 Cleo Place, Fayetteville, NC, 28306.
