Darrel Gene Carmichael

Darrel Gene Carmichael, 87, passed away on October 31, 2022 at his residence.  He was the son of the late Lacy and Dora Carmichael.  After his service in the US Army, Mr. Carmichael worked as a mechanic for Sears.  He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gerda Carmichael; children, Robert Carmichael (Lisa), David Carmichael, Barbara Brown, Allen Carmichael, Mark Carmichael and his partner Alan, Christina Carmichael and her partner Jerry; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Wesley Carmichael; sisters, Evelyn Lunsford Palumbo, Peggy Lunsford and Robin Younger.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilson and J.E. Carmichael.  A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Saturday November 5, 2022 in Oakwood Cemetery.
