David Malcolm Burnett

David Malcolm Burnett, 83, of Graham, NC, passed away on Monday June 19, 2017 at his residence. A native of Somerset County, NJ, he was the son of the late Francis Frederick and Mary Elizabeth Hoffmeister Burnett. David worked in the construction business for numerous years and was a proud veteran of the US Army. He was in fellowship at Ireland Street Chapel in Burlington. David always sought God’s glory and served the Lord daily helping friends and family, putting others above himself. He also served with Friends of Alcoholics in Flora Mississippi doing maintenance and ministry work as he helped others rebuild their lives through Christ. In his later years, David enjoyed playing golf with friends and family. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Gail Krellwitz Burnett; sons, David W. Burnett and wife Donna, Andrew L. Burnett, Timothy P. Burnett and wife Lisa, Chris D. Burnett and wife Georgia, and Joel A. Burnett and wife Barbara; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; sister, Lois Gausz and husband Albert and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 loving brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday July 22, 2017 at Ireland Street Chapel in Burlington. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Officiating will be J.
