David Leonard Duncan

Mr. David Leonard Duncan, 79, passed away on December 15, 2015 from complications from Alzheimer’s disease. A lifelong resident of Orange County, NC, he was the son of the late John H. and Missie Franklin Duncan. Mr. Duncan served in the US Air Force and he retired from UNC-Chapel Hill Printing Department. Survivors include his wife Mary Nichols Duncan and son David Paul Duncan, both of Mebane; sister, Mary Ruth Burrus and husband Jim, of Cary; sister in laws, Ruth Duncan, of AZ, Joyce Duncan, of Durham, and Peggy Nichols, of Yanceyville, and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Crudup, Venable, James, Lewis, Cecil, Lib Knight, Margie Hallsted, and Betty Sue Whitfield. A memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday December 19, 2015 at Edgewood Baptist Church in Mebane with the Rev. Darrel Moser and the Rev. Jim Shelley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Church on Saturday. Burial will be private.
