David "Greg" Gregory Pender

Mr. David "Greg" Gregory Pender 56, of Mebane, NC passed away on January 19, 2024 at the Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington. A native of Alamance Co. NC, he was the son of the late David and Martha Pender. Greg was a 1985 graduate of Eastern Alamance High School and attended East Carolina University. Greg was an avid golfer, fisherman, sports fan, especially the North Carolina Tar Heels, and a master on the grill. He and his wife Ellen enjoyed their beach trips together as he loved the salty air on the beach. Greg gained his love for the beach by being a proud veteran of the US Coast Guard serving his country. Survivors include his loving wife, Ellen Wheeler Pender, of the home and many other cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Alamance County by visiting www.hsaconline.org The family will receive friends and family at the home on Saturday January 27th 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
