David Francis Laughlin

David Laughlin, born in Anderson, IN on February 17th, 1955, lived in Graham, NC. David passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, August 12, 2019. He was greeted into heaven by his parents Curtis and Harriett Laughlin along with his brothers Timothy, Steve and Dennis Laughlin. His two dogs--Sugar and Sassy--have been patiently waiting for him at heaven’s gates.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Sandra Laughlin, his two daughters Kerrie Laughlin and Tracey Laughlin Andrews, his son-in-law John Andrews, David’s much anticipated granddaughter Harriett who is due in January as well as his two step sons and their families: Timothy and Angela Scranton with their son Gabe along with Justin and Mandy Scranton with their children Seamus, Maryjayne and Finnian. David, the youngest of eight, was loved deeply and will be dearly missed by his sisters Ann and husband Dan Welsh and Peggy and husband Phil Lavelle, his brothers Pat and wife Judy Laughlin and Larry and wife Diep Tran Laughlin. David was proud to be an Uncle to his 22 nieces and nephews.

David was known throughout his community as a business leader and philanthropist. As President and Co-Owner of JIT Printing as well as Premier Graphics, Dave brought together a work family that not only adored him but also loved to work towards wonderful goals together in the business and in the community. He served as the President of the Rotary Club in Graham, North Carolina and sat on the Board of Loaves and Fishes, where he was able to lead and volunteer in serving the hungry and in need. His passion for volunteerism was weaved throughout his lifetime of good work.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday August 18, 2019 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Wilbur Crawford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service on Sunday and other times at the residence of the family.

Dave has requested donations, in Lieu of flowers, which can be made to Allied Churches of Alamance or SPCA of Alamance County.
