David "Dennis" Stacey

Mr. David “Dennis” Stacey, 78, passed away on July 20, 2023, at his residence in Glen Allen, VA.   Born in Graham, NC, he was the son of the late Thomas Edward Stacey and Pauline Davis Stacey. Dennis had a rewarding career in the financial services industry, working for Western Union and Moneygram before retirement.  He was also a proud veteran of the US Army, having served in the 9th ASA. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Vickie Riley Stacey; His son, David D. Stacey Jr (Kellie), grandson, Johnathan Stacey; and brothers, Eddie Stacey, and Alan Stacey (Teresa).  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Stacey and his sisters, Barbara Turner, and Betty Eastwood. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday July 26, 2023, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane with the Pastor Darrell Moser officiating. A burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
