Deanna Lee (Curl) Sanders

Mrs. Deanna Curl Sanders, 76 of Snow Camp, NC passed away on Sunday May 2, 2021 at Liberty Commons in Burlington. A native of Alamance Co. NC, she was the daughter of then late Boyd Sr. and Evelyn Turner Curl. Deanna was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was the oldest of her family and would always put others needs above her own. Deanna loved beach music and was known for being an excellent shag dancer. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church and she will always cherish the love of her dog Memphis. Survivors include her loving husband, Haywood Leon Sanders; her daughter, Angela Peck and husband Shawn; her sons, Donald, Tony and Harry Strickland; a step son, Dusty Sanders and wife Tiffany; her loving 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Curl and Kathleen Mullis; a brother, Larry Curl and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, James Strickland Jr. and Lloyd Strickland; a brother, Boyd Curl Jr. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday May 6, 2021 at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Pastor Parker Coppock officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Wednesday May 5, 2021 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham and other times at the residence of the family.
