Deborah Cook

Deborah Zachary Cook, 57, of Chapel Hill, NC passed away on Sunday September 16, 2018 at her residence.  Born on October 29, 1960, she was the daughter of Alfred Gray Zachary and Peggy Phillips Zachary. She had been employed by the Orange County school system as a bus driver. She was a member of the Clover Garden United Methodist Church. In her free time she enjoyed drawing and painting. She loved her family and especially loved her grandkids. Survivors Include her children Jamie Cook (Kurtis Crawford), Dylan Cook, and Matthew Cook; sister, Angie Brown (Jeff), brother, Tim Zachary (Marie); Grandkids, Elijah and Gideon Crawford, Caylee and James Cook; Along with many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James M. Cook, and her beloved cat Mr.Furball. A memorial service will be held in her honor at the Clover Garden United Methodist Church of Chapel Hill on Thursday September 20, 2018 at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. A private burial will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St.Judes Children’s Research Hospital or to the Clover Garden United Methodist Church of Chapel Hill.
