BURLINGTON - Deborah King Popham, 59, of 2645 Gwyn Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.She was a native of Alamance County and retired from the Alamance-Burlington School System with Broadview Middle School. She was a co-founder and incorporator of Pilgrim Theological Institute and Ministerial Associates Inc. She was also a member of Pilgrims Chapel International where she was considered a mother of the church. She was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Frances R. King.She is survived by her husband, Richard C. Popham Sr., of the home; children, Annie Elizabeth Kiss of High Point, N.C., Christopher Lee Popham of Texas, Timothy James Popham of Springfield, Va. and Richard C. Popham Jr. of Burlington; brother, Timothy E. King of Elon, N.C.; grandchildren, Victoria Kiss, Christian Xavier Popham, Anna Denise Bachelor and Christopher Yancey Bachelor; great- grandchildren, Hunter Tolliver and Allie Tolliver.Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham conducted by Bishop Kathy Carter. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 9 until 11a.m. prior to the service and at other times at 814 Scott St., Burlington.
