Delores Florence Tompkins

Delores Tompkins, 74, went to be with God on November 10, 2015 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Keansburg NJ (and lived many places throughout her life). She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Dorothy Tierney, her husband Richard Tompkins and a sister Joan Yarnell. She is survived by her four children Laura Tompkins of Outer Banks NC, Lisa Devello, Mary Tompkins and Joseph Tompkins all of the home in Liberty NC. Also three grandchildren Jason Tompkins (Rebekah) of Snow Camp, Shane Devello of New Jersey and Johnny Tompkins-Gonter of Outer Banks , and three great-grandchildren Kelsey, Kendall and Alexis Tompkins along with sisters Adele Boehler of NJ and Eileen Tomasuski of FLA and a brother Richard Tierney of FLA. She was a devout Catholic where she attended Saint Julia's Catholic Church of Chatham County. She was a homemaker her whole life, an avid reader, loved to travel and donated to various charities. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday November 14, 2015 from 5-7 at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Graham, 1030 S. Main St.
