Denise "Denny" Hoskins Sherwood

Mrs. Denise Hoskins “Denny” Sherwood, 64, of Mebane, passed away on Wednesday March 14, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields. A native of Monroe County, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Carol Tyler Hoskins. Her family was most important to her as she loved to be with her boys. She retired from the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields with 10 years of service as a Nurse. She loved her pets having over the years her fish, birds, and she even had a pet bull at one time she loved so much. She and her husband would take trips back home to New York and Pennsylvania to visit with friends and family and she always enjoyed ending up at the beach. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Sherwood; sons, Mark D. Evans and wife Jill and Aaron C. Evans and wife Renee; grandchildren, Ayla P. Evans, Morgan Evans, Tyler Evans and Jasmine Evans; sisters, Marla Hoskins and Tari Ryckaert; brother, Donald Hoskins Sr.; nieces, Jaclyn Joyce and Deidra Hoskins; nephew, Donald Hoskins Jr. and a great niece, Greta Joyce. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday March 18, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane with the family receiving friends following the service at the funeral home.
