Dewitt C. Massey

Mr. Dewitt C. Massey, 95, of Graham went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2017 at UNC Hospital after years of failing health. Dewitt was the husband of the late Lucy Gray Massey, who died on March 25, 2017 after 75 years of marriage. He was the youngest of 10 children. Dewitt is survived by a daughter, Betty Sue Johnson of Graham; and one son, Tim Massey of Charlotte. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and his parents, his son-in-law, James A. Johnson preceded him in death. A graveside service will be held at 10 am Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery. Fellowship with the family will follow the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Back Pack Ministries at Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church, PO Box 55, Saxapahaw, NC 27340.
