Diana Gayle Lance

Diana Gayle Payne Lance of Mebane passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 surrounded by her family at her residence. Diana was born in Alamance County to Frank Herbert Payne and Marion Colleen Oakley Payne both deceased. Diana worked as a Dental Assistant from 1975 until 2025 before retiring. She truly loved all her patients she came in contact with over the years. She loved painting and working in her garden. Diana never met a stranger . She enjoyed dancing, traveling to the beach and gathering with friends around her pool. Diana was a member of Mebane United Methodist Church.

Diana is survived by her children, daughter Crystal Edwards and her husband Joseph. Sons, Dustin Bradsher and Travis Hackney and his wife Tina. She loved her grandchildren, Malala Moore, Mason Hackney, Hunter Hackney and Emma Hackney. She also loved her great granddaughter Nova Butts. Sister Kay Hendricks. She is also survived by her dog Makala.

In addition to her parents Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Scott Lance.

A celebration of life service will be held at a letter date.
