Dickson Eugene Marlow

Mr. Dickson Eugene Marlow, 77, of Mebane passed away Thursday August 20th, 2015 at his residence after declining health for the last few years. Dickson retired from IBM in 1990 and also worked for Meals on Wheels for about 2 years. He had several hobbies. His favorites were wood working and building beds for his two granddaughters. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Shirley Andrews Marlow; daughter: Tempra M. Bellamy and husband Richard; grandchildren: Isley and Andrew Wright, and Allison Chase Bellamy; great grandchildren: Peyton and Taylor Wright; four brothers; four sisters. He was preceded in death by daughter: Rachelle T. Marlow; parents: Willie & Ruby Marlow; one sister; three brothers. A service will be conducted on Saturday August 22nd, 2015 at 5:00PM at the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane with Dr. Gene Jester officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or to Hospice in his memory.
