Don Wade Herring, a cherished husband, brother, stepfather, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on August 15, 1959, Don's life was one marked by dedication, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones. Professionally, Don was a respected electrician with P&L Electric, where his expertise and reliability were valued by both colleagues and clients. Don is survived by his loving wife, Christina Herring, who was his partner in life's journey and his greatest support. He was a beloved brother to Connie Parrish and her husband Johnny. His role as a stepfather was one he embraced with open arms, guiding and nurturing Lindsey Boggs and her spouse Taylor, Courtney Lindsey, Nathan Riley, and Kyle Riley. Don's joy was multiplied on behalf of his grandchildren, Autumn Lindsey and Kensley Riley, who will miss their grandfather's gentle presence and boundless love. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces, Amanda Voncannon with her husband Bryan, and Danielle Rominger with her husband Cody, as well as his adored great-nephews, Grayson Voncannon and Brooks Rominger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade Alton and Mary Ellen Herring; his first wife, Bonnie Herring and a grandson Adrian Howard. The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 6, 2024 from 5pm-7pm at McClure Funeral Service in Graham. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday November 7, 2024 at The Anchor Church in Graham with Pastor Stephan Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
