Mr. Donald Steven Brooks, 72, went on to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 04, 2023. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Thomas Brooks and Doris May Brooks. Donald served in the United States Marine Corps, from 1972-1975, he spent two tours in Vietnam carrying the rank of Sergeant.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Brooks; his children, Kristy & Jason Lashley, Chris & Denise Lunsford, Cory Lunsford, Tonia & Mark Caldwell; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn & Nick Cecil, Troy Lunsford, Ava Lashley, and Olivia Lashley; his great-grandchildren, Aubrey Cecil; and his sister, Dee & Ron Manning.
A visitation will be held for the family to receive friends Monday, April 10, 2023, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell. Located at 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC, 27215.
