Donald David Hicks Jr.

Mr. David “Killer” Hicks Jr., 55, of Efland, NC, passed away on Sunday January 1, 2017 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill after many years of declining health. A native of Orange County, NC, he is the son of the late Donald D. Hicks Sr. and Elizabeth Wright Hicks, who survives. David was an avid hunter and enjoyed road trips on his Harley Davidson. Surviving are his sons, Matthew Hicks and wife Whitney, of Mebane and Dylan Hicks, of Efland; sister, Annette Hicks Jordan and husband Steve, of Prospect Hill; granddaughter, Keegan Hicks and special friends, Becky Evans and daughter, Mamie. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday January 5, 2017 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane with Chaplain Steve Jordan and the Pastor Calvin Sacra officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence of his mother, Elizabeth Hicks.
